EVR Conducts Engine Company Class for the Bedford Hills Fire Department

EVR recently conducted a two day engine company class for the Bedford Hills, New York Fire Department. Under the direction of Chief Dominick Bueti the Bedford Hills Fire Department operates two engines, an engine tanker, heavy rescue and tower ladder from a single station responding to over 450 calls annually. The members worked during the class to determine the actual friction loss in their attack lines, operated with minuteman shoulder load lines and heavy flows using 2.50 inch attack lines.

One portion of the class was interrupted by a 10-75 all hands fire in nearby Mt. Kisco where members staffing Tower Ladder 57 went to work at two story private dwelling. EVR returned to Bedford Hills to complete the outside evolutions and conduct some pre-fire planning at a recently renovated strip mall. We would like to thank Chief Bueti, officers and members of Bedford Hills for a great class and hospitality during our visits.
