UPDATE: BUTLER TOWNSHIP, PA APPARATUS CRASH – FIREFIGHTERS INJURED!

BUTLER TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— According to Luzerne County Communications Center, two fire trucks collided on Route 309 in Butler Township Saturday afternoon.

One truck from Valley Regional Fire and a truck from Hazle Township Fire were involved in the crash.

The crash happened around 3:15 P.M. There was also a fully involved structure fire Saturday afternoon according to a post made by Valley Regional Fire.

According to Marty James, the Assistant Chief of Valley Regional Fire, the fire started in the basement by a battery.
