ROCKVILLE CENTRE, Long Island (WABC) — Surveillance video captured the moment of impact when a fire truck slammed into a furniture store in Rockville Centre while responding to a call Friday.

The incident occurred at Master of Furniture on South Long Beach Road and Rutland Avenue around 11:30 a.m.

As the fire engine was racing northbound on Long Beach Road to respond to the fire, video shows a white midsize SUV begin to make a left turn instead of pulling over and yielding to fire truck.

Surveillance video captured the moment of impact.

The fire truck looks like it is trying to avoid t-boning the SUVF, swerves to the left and crashes right into the furniture store.

Three firefighters were on the truck and three people were inside of the store.

They were transported to the hospital and only suffered minor injuries. The firefighters were treated and released.

A black SUV parked right next to the furniture store also got nailed in the crash. No one was inside it at the time.

The damage to the building is extensive.

It took about three hours to make sure the building was stable enough to remove the fire truck.
