TOLEDO FIREFIGHTER INJURED IN APPARATUS CRASH

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A Toledo fire truck was involved in a crash while responding to a fire call Tuesday, officials said.

It happened near the intersection of Central and Secor around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. According to Toledo Fire and Rescue officials, Engine 25 was responding to a fire they were dispatched to with lights and sirens on at the time of the crash.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries and no civilians were hurt.

The crash impeded traffic in the area while crews worked to clear the scene. Investigators are still working to figure out what caused the crash.
