THREE CREW MEMBERS INJURED WHEN RESCUE TRUCK STRUCK BY TRAIN – SOUTH CAROLINA

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Parker Fire Department said three crew members were injured Sunday evening after a fire rescue vehicle was hit by a train in Greenville County.

Officials said the crash happened around 5:15 p.m. at a railroad crossing near Kerns Avenue and Church Street.

Officials explained that the fire rescue truck was crossing the tracks responding to a reported vehicle fire when the train crashed into it. According to officials, three crew members were taken to the hospital following the crash but have since been released.
