Last night at 6:06pm, Engine 24 & Rescue 24 were dispatched to an emergency call on Interstate 85 near MM 121. While enroute, a vehicle traveling northbound on the highway cut in front of Engine 24, causing our apparatus to hit the brakes to avoid colliding with the vehicle. Engine 24 traveled off the roadway and overturned several times. All three firefighters were transported to Moses Cone Hospital for evaluation. All three firefighters were treated and released. Our thoughts and prayers go out to our firefighters and their families as they recover at home. PSFD would like to thank EVERYONE for the tremendous outpouring of concern, support and prayers that we have received since this incident unfolded. We would like to especially thank Guilford Metro 911, Guilford County Emergency Services, Guilford County EMS, Guilford County Sheriff’s Office, North Carolina State Highway Patrol, City of Greensboro Fire Department and Pleasant Garden Fire Department for their initial assistance and support. To the civilians that stopped and rendered aid to our personnel before other emergency service personnel could arrive, we are very grateful to you
