ONE PERSON INJURED IN CONNECTICUT APPARATUS CRASH

HARTFORD — One person was injured and a city fire truck was damaged in a collision Monday night, a fire official said Tuesday.

The car’s driver was taken to Hartford Hospital to be treated for minor injuries, District Chief Mario Oquendo Jr. said. The person was cited for a motor vehicle violation, he said.

The crash happened about 9:30 p.m. at South Whitney Street and West Boulevard, Oquendo said. He said the car was speeding.

The truck was damaged but was drivable, Oquendo said.
