NEW JERSEY FIREFIGHTER THROWN FROM APPARATUS WHILE RESPONDING

A Hamilton Firefighter was injured when he fell out of responding fire apparatus while en route to a call in the Mercer County town on Wednesday. He is reported to have moderate injuries including bleeding from his head.
The Firefighter was in the front passenger’s (officer) seat of the rig with its lights and sirens on just before 1330 hours when the passenger door opened and he tumbled to the ground near the corner of Nottingham Way and Donald Drive. Reports are that he was leaning on the door and it gave way.
