FIRE APPARATUS CRASH IN SOUTH CAROLINA

CHEROKEE CREEK, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Cherokee Creek Volunteer Fire Department reported that around 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7, one of their fire trucks crashed while responding to an emergency. Though the fireman driving the vehicle suffered several broken bones, he was otherwise unhurt.

“By the grace of the good Lord,” said Fire Chief Austin Walker, “Our fireman is expected to make a full recovery.”

The fire engine was the only vehicle involved in the accident and was totaled in the crash.

“We are just glad no one was hurt or killed,” said Walker.
