From the Deland Fire Department Facebook Page:

Tuesday, at 10:37 a.m., Engine 82 was involved in a crash while responding to an emergency at the intersection of Kepler Road and International Speedway Boulevard.
Engine 82 had its lights activated as the crew headed to an emergency when a vehicle hit the engine, impacting the vehicle’s front-left side. All three firefighters on board were not injured.
The driver of the other car was transported to the hospital for treatment. The individual was cited by FHP — who responded to investigate the crash –for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle and for a suspended license.
Failing to yield to an emergency vehicle can be dangerous to drivers and to our firefighters. We want to take this opportunity to remind the community to be extra cautious when you see our fire trucks so we can all share the road safely.
