Engine Company Operations Training Program
Emergency Vehicle Response announces a new training program designed to enhance the operations of your engine companies. This sixteen hour training class covers hydraulics, hose streams, attack line hose loads, water supply and supply line operations. Engine company staffing levels, riding assignments, equipment and apparatus placement are all covered during the classroom portion of the program.
Practical evolutions include the deployment of small and large diameter attack lines, master stream appliances and standpipe operations. Each department will be challenged to deploy their available engine company resources to produce needed fire flows with emphasis on fire fighter safety and enhancements to improve the advancement of attack lines.
The engine company program combines both classroom and practical exercises designed to advance and improve the operations of the engine company. The class size is limited to thirty personnel and will utilize the equipment and apparatus from the host fire department as well as the in service units from other participating agencies.
