Wednesday, April 18, 2012 A Eureka fire truck that rolled on Edgefield Highway in Aiken County on Monday afternoon was the only vehicle involved in the incident,
South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers said.


Richard Oxendine, of Trenton, was driving the 1980 GMC fire truck from the Aiken County community to a vehicle fire shortly before 5 p.m. when he took the right turn from Edgefield Highway onto Springfield Church Road too sharply and rolled the truck, Lance Cpl. Judd Jones said.

Oxendine was not injured. His passenger, Jennifer Tooten, also of Trenton, was taken to Medical College of Georgia Hospital with minor injuries.
