VEHICLE SLAMS INTO THE REAR OF FIRE APPARATUS ON I-4 IN FLORIDA
   
   
Saturday, March 6, 2010

A driver was injured after their car collided with a Plant City fire truck along I-4 during rush hour this afternoon. The vehicle was going east on I-4 near Park Road when the driver made a lane change and unexpectedly lost control of the car. The car veered into the right shoulder, striking a Plant City fire truck was that was parked on the side of the road. Firefighters were responding to a medical call on I-4 at the time. The driver was taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center and is now listed in stable condition.
No one else was hurt.
